Choose Wireless Outdoor Speaker

Buying wireless outdoor speakers can seem like a mine field of decisions, but there are some key points to keep in mind when you are doing your research and going down the wireless path.  So many appliances are going wireless these days and the technology has improved so much that there is now no need to go without the same best quality sound you get from your current system. Or you can even add to your stereo by having the wireless speakers outdoors. There is such a large range and at such a reasonable price that there is now really no reason why you shouldn’t hook up your hi fi to punch out all your favorite tracks wherever you are in your house or garden.

Consider the outdoor area you are trying to cover with your wireless speakers, most now have a transmission that can cover a wide area. You will need to work out how far away from the base unit you will place the speakers as some versions will have a longer stronger signal range. If your bbq area is way down the backyard you may not be able to get the quality you want. Most wireless outdoor speakers will have a range of around 30 metres which will be well and truly enough for most situations. Some models can go three times that, but checking the specifications will indicate what is available.

Being outdoor speakers they tend to cop a bit more of a pounding than normal speakers so durability should absolutely be considered. Sun exposure can be very wearing on some plastics although most will be designed to be exposed to the elements at least to some degree, and while you can get waterproof versions most are just weatherproof. If they are outdoors in all weather going from hot to cold all the time will effect them over time so buy the strongest ones you can. Like a wireless mouse setup in the package you buy there will be an transmitter adaptor to plug into your stereo or hifi system.
